The 2020 edition of the IPL was played in the UAE following the Covid-19 lockdown, while the first half of the 2021 season was scheduled to be held in four venues in India before the pandemic brought a halt to the season. The remainder of the IPL was held in the UAE once again.
Last year, all league games were held in Mumbai, Pune and Navi Mumbai, with the knockouts being staged in Kolkata and Ahmedabad. The 2023 edition, thus, will see the franchises return to their home venues after a gap of three years.
The league stage of the 2023 IPL will be played till May 21, with the final being held on May 28.
